Nawazuddin Siddiqui explained his professional journey during a Zoom interview, which he conducted in tandem with discussing current developments in the film industry. He mentioned that an actor only has control over their performance, but whether that performance becomes successful or not is beyond their control. He explained that people need PR to recognize him because he avoids public appearances which result in him being unknown to others.

The current situation requires people to stay alert because more developments will emerge. The world operates in a peculiar manner. I expect this phase to endure for only a temporary period. Just like bad times affect everything, this is also a bad phase for creativity.
He expressed his belief that things will become better in time. According to him, people will eventually start recognizing what is genuine and what is not, without being influenced by meaningless negativity.

Nawazuddin believes that people will eventually discover the truth about events through their own understanding process. He expressed his disbelief about present conditions, which allow people to control public opinion through simple manipulative methods. He questioned, “Where has people’s education gone? Where is their ability to think and understand?”
His explanation showed that people will follow unless they possess education to question whether someone has received payment for positive or negative endorsements. Nawazuddin Siddiqui on paid negative PR explained how this pattern presents both dangerous and unusual characteristics. He stated that actors like him do not require such strategies because he trusts his talent and dedication to his work.

Before Nawazuddin, filmmaker Karan Johar had also reacted to the issue of negative PR. The Week interview showed that he believed public relations activities should be reduced or completely stopped. The actor and filmmaker believes that their accomplishments should serve as their professional identity because modern public relations methods have become paid and deceptive.
Varun Dhawan Also Faced Negative PR
Not just Nawazuddin, actor Varun Dhawan has also reportedly faced negative PR in the past. During the release of the film Border 2, Varun received heavy criticism, especially regarding his performance in the trailer. He experiences social media trolling because he belongs to a family of entertainers.
However, later reports suggested that a paid negative PR campaign was carried out against him. The negative PR used during a viral incident involving AP Dhillon was also discussed together with Tara Sutaria and Veer Pahariya’s relationship. The claims about the controversy emerged later but they received major public attention during that period.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s Work Front
On the work front, Nawazuddin Siddiqui will soon be seen in the film Main Actor Nahi Hoon, directed by Aditya Kripalani. He will be sharing the screen with Chitrangda Singh in the lead role. The film is scheduled to release on May 8.
