Malayalam cinema continues to attract viewers with suspense, strong characters, and unique storytelling. This week, Malayalam OTT Releases bring fresh titles for viewers to add to their watchlists and enjoy at home.
Prithviraj Sukumaran is back with Khalifa: The Ruler. Parvathy Thiruvothu has Pradhama Drishtiya Kuttakkar. There is also the psychological thriller series Eyes that is getting attention.
If you like watching at home, these new drops do not all feel the same. You can pick something fast and action heavy. You can also choose a story that leans toward police work. And if you want tension and mind games, the suspense side may suit you.
So, for this weekend, there are a few Malayalam OTT picks worth trying.
1. Khalifa: The Ruler — An Action-Packed Crime Story
Prithviraj Sukumaran stars in Khalifa: The Ruler. The movie is an action crime story made by Vysakh. Mohanlal shows up in a special role. Neil Nitin Mukesh, Indrans, and Malavika Mohanan Sharma are also part of the cast.
The plot moves around a strong criminal setup. It also looks at fights tied to family name. Revenge and control play a big part too. Because the film leans into crime, it can shift between action scenes and thoughts about power. It also points to what people want for themselves.
What makes Khalifa worth watching?
If you like action movies that involve crime plots, you may like this one. Prithviraj Sukumaran has the main role, and Mohanlal’s presence makes it more appealing for people who watch Malayalam films.
If you did not see it in theaters, you can still catch up online. Digital streaming is a good way to do that.
Where to watch: Look at the official streaming page right now for the latest details. Also check the language options, since they can change by service.
2. Pradhama Drishtiya Kuttakkar — A Police Investigation Thriller
Pradhama Drishtiya Kuttakkar, with Parvathy Thiruvothu, feels like a new kind of watch. Shahad Nilambur directs it. The plot centers on a police probe. A woman constable is pulled into trouble. Her work life and home life both get strained.
Among the new Malayalam movies on OTT, this thriller keeps viewers hooked with a tense investigation. The characters must make difficult choices under pressure and take responsibility while searching for answers. Instead of focusing only on fights and chase scenes, the story highlights the stress of police work and shows how unexpected events can change everything.
Why you might want to save it for later
Parvathy Thiruvothu has picked many kinds of roles. Here, she plays a police officer. This gives viewers a fresh look at her in a new setup. If you like crime stories that depend on clues, then the premise may fit you. It also leans into hard decisions and slow reveals.
There is also an option for those who want suspense that comes from people and decisions. It is not built around huge action moments.
Where to watch
It is listed on Netflix in published OTT release guides. Availability can vary by country, so check what you see in your area.
3. Eyes — Psychological Suspense on Streaming
If you would rather watch a series than a full film, Eyes is a Malayalam title worth a look this week. The show is a psychological thriller. Kani Kusruti stars in it. She plays a police officer who investigates stalking cases.
This setup lets the story look closely at fear and safety. It also shows what goes into probing incidents that can turn serious for everyone. As the case unfolds, the tension stays high. You feel the pressure grow with each step.
Who might like Eyes?
Fans of investigative dramas may enjoy this one. It leans into the mind as well as the case. If you like different kinds of crime stories, note that it is not like the power fights seen in Khalifa. It is also different from the police style used in Pradhama Drishtiya Kuttakkar.
Some viewers also prefer episodes. A series can fit better into busy weekdays than a single long movie.
Where to watch Eyes
SonyLIV has been named as the platform. Please check the latest listing before you start.
How to Choose What to Watch This Weekend
With multiple titles arriving across streaming services, choosing the right one depends on your preferred genre, available time and interest in the story.
- For action and crime: Choose Khalifa: The Ruler if you enjoy action-led storytelling and criminal power struggles.
- For investigative drama: Consider Pradhama Drishtiya Kuttakkar if police investigations and character-driven suspense interest you.
- For psychological tension: Add Eyes to your list if you prefer a series centred on an investigation with psychological elements.
Before pressing play, check the runtime, age rating, language options and availability on your subscription. These small checks can help you choose a title that fits your schedule rather than spending the evening browsing different apps.
Why Malayalam OTT Releases Continue to Attract Attention
Streaming apps have helped regional language movies travel farther than before. Malayalam titles can now be watched by people who cannot get every new cinema release. With subtitles and dubbed versions, the same stories can reach more households.
The Eyes Malayalam series OTT release is one of the details viewers may want to check this week. Malayalam OTT Releases updates bring all the important information together in one place. Readers can quickly compare genres, choose what they want to watch, and check the streaming platform before starting a film or series.
For writers and publishers, a useful OTT article should include accurate release dates, confirmed streaming platforms, cast details, and short plot summaries. This information helps readers decide what to watch and makes the content easier to share with other Malayalam cinema fans.
Final Thoughts
This week’s Malayalam streaming selection brings together three distinct options: Khalifa: The Ruler for action and crime, Pradhama Drishtiya Kuttakkar for investigative drama, and Eyes for psychological suspense.
Each title offers a different way to spend a weekend, whether you prefer a feature film or an episodic story. Check the official streaming platforms for the latest availability, then choose the title that best matches your interests.
